The founder and lead teacher of Jen Norvell Studios, Jennyfer began studying the violin and piano in the Suzuki tradition at a young age and studied under the direction of Virginia Raulston. She was accepted to Youth Performing Arts High School where she sat 1st chair in chamber and symphony orchestra. Throughout her education she competed in the National Federation of Music Festivals earning the highest rankings each year. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association and Suzuki Teachers of America.
Jennyfer's 25 years of teaching experience along with a background in music education and educational psychology, allows her to tailor instruction to the individual ensuring success. Using positive reinforcement, a strong base in musical theory with ample opportunities to perform, Jennyfer believes that every student can achieve a life long love of music!
Polina Zhitskay has been studying piano for 12 years and has numerous top awards from Federation and Festival competitions. Polina is a computer science major at UCF and a soloist with Ballet Fedotov. Polina teaches students of all ages in the studio as well as in their homes. Polina joined our staff in 2016.
Christy Apodaca joins our studio in June 2018. Christy began studying piano at age 5 and later added Alto Sax! With a passion for classical music, a fun spirit and a love for children, Christy makes the perfect teacher for our classical loving students of all ages!
Emily Johnson was been studying piano under the instruction of Jennyfer Norvell for 11 years and is in her second year of under the direction and supervision of Jennyfer. Emily's love for music and children are sure to make her a favorite for years to come! Emily teaches our pre-schoolers and young beginners.
Gabe has been studying piano for 11 years and is a huge fan of classic rock. He joined our staff in 2017 as a student teacher under the supervision of Jennyfer. Gabe's mad ninja piano skills and sense of humor make him a favorite among our beginner boys!
